Steph, there has to be Good Omens fic I haven't read yet.
Atropa, I wish I could read recs in your fandom! Sadly, the "Wow, that's elaborate, I wonder how they -" gets bumped aside by contemplation of the ingredients list.
ETA: Works for me, Dana, see you over there.
I seem to do this weird thing where I read fic for shows I don't watch, and then sometimes watch the show. I did this as early as Veronica Mars, based on vonniek's recs, for example. And Sports Night. And Schitt's Creek. And I read Stargate Atlantis, and I think I still haven't watched much!. I think some of it is that I like podfic so I follow the reader and their voice. And some is that I also read a lot of RPF without knowing much about the fandom (like Hockey).
To the fic thread!
Meanwhile, am still at friend’s house in Portland with other friends. Want to be home (especially for puppy, who has been dealing with hotel room and friend’s dog not liking him, and so on) but also don’t want to leave and be alone when we finally get any new news. Ugh.
A Buffista may be alone in the flesh, but never in the spirit.
(Spellcheck suggested "fisticuffs". I told it Buffistas was too a word.)
Matt, I hope your mom and cats will be well soon.
I think I picked up the wrong kid at school. This child is being super polite and sweet.
sj, you have achieved the rare reverse changeling. Enjoy! You deserve it.

Spellcheck is being a bit dramatic there. At worst, we're a kerfuffle.

Either that or the consequences actually had an impact and she wanted her shows this afternoon.
I saw a joke about whether the Secret Service will continue to protect a former president in prison and I keep thinking how that is a legitimate question that I very much hope we find out the answer!
According to my dad, when these questions arose with Nixon the understanding was that the Secret Service would go to prison with him.
Oh deer loward what a thankless job. Speculation and rumors have it he's a terrible person to work with--refuses measures for his own safety and puts everyone around him in jeopardy just by existing through his day. I can't imagine being expected to protect him in prison. Solitary and a long game of checkers every day, maybe. DNW.
Matt, ma to your mom and the cats.
sj, she's probably exhausted and a little frightened of her own behavior, and maybe seeking comfort and reassurance. I'm spitballing, having raised a challenging child. But for your sake I'm glad she's calmer today.
