You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

It's pouring rain here, a morning for the black tea blend that climbs out of the pot and slaps away the milk jug; my friend adds "And a couple of digestive biscuits, with a cheddar that bites back when you try to eat it". I have blocked all my usual news and social media sites, baked muffins for breakfast and started on the laundry, emulating the esteemed Dr. Amanda Grayson when contemplating a vote with the potential to upend her life: "No matter what happens, the roses need pruning."

Although Alton's "I want you to go out right now and buy Fritos and cat food" is up there.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Aw, that's sweet, Laura. Hope it continues!

It's impressive.

That's one word for it.

Good to hear, Laura. Lunch is done and cleaned up, and I've been puzzling online. Now I'm going to heat up the coffee and work on the office.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

The new board is wonderful. Thanks to Gud and Gris and everyone else who had a hand in making this happen.

I've been super quiet everywhere since last month. Too much noise on social media, and too many people who have lost their humanity. I voted, in person today, and I'm trying not to freak out. I should have taken today and tomorrow off. Instead, I'm in meeting hell both days.

Lots of ~ma to anyone who needs it. I've missed you all.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

My company gave all US employees today off for voting, which I already did by mail. My plan for today is to avoid social media (b.org doesn't count) and read gothic romances.

Hey. New board.

This is Gud's baby and he did it all. I'm just flying in at the end to help with some cleanup.

What is even happening?

My plan for today is to avoid social media (b.org doesn't count) and read gothic romances.

We're an ethereal social club. It's a whole different vibe.
