Thrive to spite them

The whole conversation started because dad said he didn't understand why so many more people were voting this election and why it was different

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

askye, I think even if your dad doesn't change his mind, you did a good thing in trying to bridge that gap and explain your own views. And who knows, maybe something you said resonated with some part of him, even if he'd never say so.

Our wings are not tired.

You are a patient daughter, askye. I've lost patience completely with the Trump folks, no matter how close they are to me.

I tried to be calm and understanding and all that. There are some things we do agree on (Healthcare for all but Dad opposes universal healthcare) but too many of our values are different.

He isn't really a Trump suppporter though, he just feels that Trump won't mess things up as badly as Biden.

Yikes y'all. Go check your bank accounts for me. Someone took $6K out of mine in the past few days using my debit card number and CashApp.

Supposedly it'll all be fine and the bank will fix it, and are sending me a new debit card, but YIKES.

Oh YIKES! I'm glad they will fix it.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

that's more than I have in mine, so I would have gotten an alert. I think any withdrawal over like $300 gives me an alert.

meara - Oct 29, 2020 3:26:15 pm PDT #28313 of 30019

Yeah, NOW I have an alert set up for the minimum amounts they would let me!

What is even happening?

It drives me nuts when that happens, meara. I'm sorry it happened to you. I hope it's quickly fixed.

There are some things we do agree on (Healthcare for all but Dad opposes universal healthcare) but too many of our values are different.

What does your dad mean by "healthcare for all," askye?

sj, how is ltc doing tonight? How about you?

I did actually take the high road and say to ungrateful entitled ass son that I understood that he had new house/new job position/impending fatherhood stresses on top of all the rest of stresses weighing us all down. Eh, maybe it will help. Whatever. Still pissed and hurt, but trying to be all adult and stuff.

I'm sorry, Laura. I hate having to be adult.
