Caught up. I also struggled over our mayoral race. Ended up writing in a candidate for the first time in my life. This might just actually be a race decided by write-ins which is just fascinating. Dropping off my ballot later today.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I came across a link to this. I love Rhiannon Giddons and this hit a sweet spot for me. I've mentioned to a few people in real life that, in 1941, my father enlisted to fight fascists so I don't see why being against them is now a bad thing.
love it!
Had my last 1:1 with my boss as she will be in another (new) department (by herself, pretty much) next month. She mentioned that our VP has been using the phrase "heart surgery" to describe the department reorganization. I don't think that is making me feel better, but it does make me feel like I'm not overreacting - still very unclear what will actually change for me personally, trying to roll with the uncertainty, that is supposedly one of my strengths but I'm not feeling it right now.
Timelies all!
Made it out to the comic book store. First time since the end of February.
I go back to work tomorrow, and see how many e-mails await me.
Unrelatedly: baked oatmeal is AMAZING.
Hmmm. As much as I love oatmeal I have not baked it before. I think I need to do this.
I'm sorry about the workplace trauma, -t. Not cool to have that stress on top of the world stress.
I came across a link to this.
Bookmarked for later........
Tim's official chest x-ray report says a small-to-moderate pneumothorax, which is (in my opinion) just a bit more serious than yesterday's description of it as a small pneumothorax. He doesn't have any pain or shortness of breath today, which is a good sign, but he does have a dry cough, which isn't great. And of course he went to work today. His primary care doctor wants him to get another x-ray tomorrow and to follow up with a pulmonary specialist, which of course is a good idea. I don't know how much to worry, or how much worry is too much.
More lung~ma for Tim! I'm glad he's able to get the X-rays as needed, and I hope you get to worry less soon and his cough clears up
Here's hoping Tim's lung continues to improve!
Of course you will worry, Teppy. That is natural, but he clearly has good medical care and they are on top of it. Spouses! (kinda like Parents! or Kids! only worse)
