I realized I haven't paid a lot of attention to the down ballot races but I know I'll vote straight Democrat.. there are some people running unopposed.
The county sheriff's race I think is interesting. The challenger has been very vocal about his experience, education, and training and talkign about the shortcomings and how he would change them. The current sheriff has some ideas but not the kind of fleshed out plans that the challenger has. The current sherriff is a republican so I wouldn't vote for him anyway but I at least like what I've read about the guy Ill be voting for
100% I absolutely would bail on work if I had a partially collapsed lung. JESUS CHRIST indeed, Steph.
I don't think any state starts counting votes before election day.
When you can process and count mail-in/absentee ballots varies wildly by state. There are some states that do count early.
Oh jeez, Tim! Lung-ma! (Not lunch, which is what I typed the first time.) (Or also lunch, why not?)
I hope Tim's lung heals quickly. lots of ~ma to y'all.
I would have bailed on work if they had to check me to see if I had a partially collapsed lung, never mind if I had one.
Teppy, I hope he's feeling better soon, and you too.
I feel like today should be Friday. Can we get on that?
My husband and I were saying the same thing this morning. It feels like Friday. I don't even know why.
I found out that something like 22% of eligible voters in Somerville have already voted, either by 'early' or mail-in. ::waves tiny pompoms::
Woo hoo!
Argh, Steph! Yes, therapy, good.
I keep checking the ballot return statistics page and a quarter of registered voters in Washington have returned their ballots. Kitsap County is up to a third. Some of the smaller counties have hit 50%. A handful of boxes in Seattle have had to be emptied twice in one day because they've been full - each drop box holds 5000 ballots.
Good lord. Lung~ma for Tim.

I just checked the ballot tracker, and my ballot has been counted!
My mom told me that some ridiculous number like 40% had voted in her county - more than the usual turnout total! I don't know where she got that, though.
Teppy, I hope he's feeling better and the lung gets fixed. YIKES.
My youngest cheated on a math test. SIGH. We've been fighting this whole semester to try to catch up and then this. UGH.
