'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I found out that something like 22% of eligible voters in Somerville have already voted, either by 'early' or mail-in. ::waves tiny pompoms::

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I feel like today should be Friday. Can we get on that?

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

+1 from me too, Dana.

I voted! I dropped off my ballot into the ballot box yesterday. No stickers for mailed ballots, but the spirit it there.

It was tough. Honestly I left the Portland mayoral election for the last of the ballot, and it took a fair amount of analysis to come to a decision on that vote. It's an incredibly important election for Portland Mayor.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

So, hey, remember how Tim had a 100% collapsed lung 5 1/2 years ago? (Really, when I lead off with that, you know where this is going, more or less, right?) He already had a doctor's appointment scheduled with his primary care doctor today, and before he left, he mentioned to me "I'm having some chest..." and then he made a vague circular gesture over his sternum, like I would know what that meant. He clarified that he meant discomfort (but over his sternum, not in the heart area), and had a wee cough. And because this is 2020, I was like "Probably not a heart attack but maybe Covid???"

Yeah, so, his doctor had him get a chest x-ray, and he has a small pneumothorax (NOT a 100% collapsed lung...just a *partially* collapsed lung). And his doctor was like "If your pain is resolved and you aren't having difficulty breathing, you can work," so Tim, of course, is at work right now, because he's like that. It seems that with small pneumothoraxes, it's pretty common to just keep an eye on them and the air resorbs on its own. He does have to have a follow-up chest x-ray on Friday. And since this is just a small pneumorthorax, my reaction is basically kind of numb, or like a shrug, like, this might as well happen. Jesus.

I do, however, already have therapy scheduled for tomorrow morning, so it was a well-timed pneumothorax. JESUS CHRIST
