Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think we are still going to my uncle and aunt's, who will be hosting in their open garage with space heaters. It's not perfect -- I'm sure people will be too close while eating -- but we'll see.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Off to put on pants and eyebrows and go pick up my niece from the airport. I'm excited. She's never been to my house before.

My mother and I just drove out to my cousin's in the burbs to peep some leaves, pick up some books, and hang out on her patio for a bit, and then we got some apples and a pumpkin on the way back. Autumn!

Awesome! I haven't done anything to ring in the fall yet, really. I think I need to buy some cider and heat it up or something. Baking might be too ambitious currently.

Yay, Zen! Have fun.

I went (with the dog) this morning to see some friends who normally play soccer together, but obviously team sports for adults have been canceled since March. But now they're allowed to do a scrimmage with space, just not regular games. So a few of them showed up, and it was nice to see some folks that I hadn't seen in over six months! They're not close friends by any means, and a few I keep up with on social media, but it was still so nice to see different people!

Then my roommate came home and brought fried chicken and Mac and cheese and collard greens, which was a fun surprise. I did a bit of cleaning and organizing, and watched some TV, and made cookie dough (haven't baked it yet). Trying to decide if I want to take the dog to the dog park--I'm tired, but it helps tire him out, but he already ran around a bunch at the soccer field, does he really need to, but tomorrow will be raining...round and round in circles I go.

Thrive to spite them

I have no idea about Thanksgiving or if we are going to be working. The last rumor I heard was that the store would be closed to customers but we'd be pulling orders for fulfillment. Not sure if that is still accurate.

Also as of last Monday we now deliver items by Door Dash. It has to be within a certain mile range and it's $15 surcharge o think but door dash clothes etc. And they are launching a subscription beauty something or the other. Have to stay competitive.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The puppy life, I do not envy you, meara.

Hope it's a really good visit, Zen.

I had something to say but I forgot it.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

My mom asked me if I was coming home from the holidays today. In the same conversation, it was revealed that 1) my aunt's boyfriend has COVID-19 and she's waiting on a test to see if she has it, too 2) several school bus drivers that she knows were exposed and are quarantining, so my mom probably will be picking up my niece from middle school since they're packing kids on buses with longer routes while those drivers are in quarantine.

I very much have not made up my mind about the holidays, but I am leaning toward staying put.
