I hope your aunt is okay, sj.

That is scary, sj. I hope she is okay. It is hard, but understandable, that they wouldn't let your mom in with her.
ALDI Alert - they have bags of mini-bags of Haribo gummi candies and some are Halloween themed!
Do they have the sugar-free kind in that group?
Is ALDI the place that has the cheese advent calendars? (that always sell out early)
Aldi is one of the places that has cheese advent calendars -- I saw them at Meijer last year, too. But Aldi's cheese calendar does traditionally sell out the first day, usually before noon. (The Meijer calendar was way too big -- it would have taken up too much real estate in our fridge, so we didn't get it. And I was too lazy to get up early to go to Aldi at 8 a.m., even for cheese.)
So, food has not been at all appealing today, but I did start to feel like not eating would also be a problem so I went ahead and have one of my meal replacement shakes and it was fine, no complaints so far from my body. I'm so pleased!
Timelies all!
Sigh...Nova keeps meowing at Too Damn Early(around 3:30 this morning) for her breakfast. Maybe we should go back to a gravity feeder for the kibble. (We stopped because Nova's a glutton.)
My aunt ended up needing a couple stitches above her eye, but her cat scab didn't show any problems. I was worried about Mom driving home after all that drama because she gets really anxious, but she is also home now and safe.
That's good news, sj! Falls are always scary.
I am in Chester County, Cindy! (And msbelle! Thanks for texting here!) We are a determined bunch from what I can gather, although there are still too many Trump signs for my liking (which means, more than none).
My favorite customer this morning said, "Well, global pandemic, but otherwise okay I guess," when I asked how he was. And later, when I asked if he wanted coffee, he said, "No, I'm drinking Scotch this morning." Very good-natured, and a nice tip!
All the -ma, sj.
I hope everything gets sorted for you soon and easily, Cass. It's a lot to keep track of, when you have already had so very much.
I was on hold for half an hour with the State which was the contact listed on my email Confirmation from the 3rd of August with my updated voter information including an affidavit number. They said they could see that and it was something the county needed to fix and they'd transfer me. Another half hour on hold. They can see my updated address, that I changed my address to vote and my affidavit number but I am — this gets good — not registered to vote. Because the USPS halted processing a large nearly two million number of address changes because it was election season. They have to push the request which they've seen a lot of and then should mail out my voter registration in three to five days. They won't call or email to confirm. So I have to call back Friday and see if I'm magically able to vote again. This took me over an hour and my boss will let me have any time I need to make sure I'm registered and legally vote. But how many people have this luxury? Because I'll wait on hold tomorrow, Friday and raise hell. It's like there are deliberate actions being taken at the Post Office to stop people from being able to vote. Because a confirmation of my voter registration time and date stamped with an affidavit number honestly led me to believe that I'd updated the address on my registration, not that I'd no longer be registered at all.
This is one way to develop an advocate who will go door to door or whatever next election to make sure people are set.
I know that there is a political party who wants voter suppression and that has to stop.
