Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I don't want to say that I suspect the GOP of trying to stop voting but I moved Aug 2-4 and changed my address with the Post Office which is still jacked and so I'm probably part of the 1.8 million people whose change of addresses were jacked. I also updated my address for Voter Registration. Got the email confirming they're sending me a new card. On Saturday I whimsically went to check my voter status because I haven't seen even my provisional ballot. They. Can't. Find. Me. Couldn't reach on phone today but I'm pissed. I've been absentee voting for years but suddenly I can't vote at all. Which will not fucking stand. I will vote and it will be counted.

Oh no, Cass! Argh. Provisional ballot?

Herding cats for fun

If Lily Bean were my daughter instead of my kitty, she would definitely be vaccinated. What's not to love about getting a super power to resist disease? No smallpox, measles or shingles for me, please.

I'm afraid the missing nutritional capsule is fish oil, not the flax oil. We might discover a new smell somewhere...

I'm definitely going to finish my ballot early and hand deliver it to the drop box at City Hall. I'm afraid to trust the USPO.

I have until next Monday and I will get my real ballot and return it where I can officially track it. I'm just pissed and going to be on hold a lot. But this is getting fixed. I know CA will go blue but my vote will be counted too. I'm just honestly shocked at how what sounded ridiculous about preventing voting is feeling real accurate now.

Our wings are not tired

Doesn't the map pull your location from the information in your user profile, not where you drag a pin?

I think it did, but I updated my zip code in my profile a few days ago, and I'm still listed in Philly (I moved to NoVa). Tried city name just now, too. I mean, no big deal... just responding to the question.

Also, it's 3a here, and I am wide awake for some reason.

Cass, that's beyond frustrating.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I THINK I'm registered - went through the process. I only moved a few blocks and one zip code, but I'm in a new ward. We'll see.

That is really frustrating, Cass. I hope it is quickly resolved when you get on the phone.

On the lighter side, wildlife photography awards.

Blergh. Was woken up in the middle of the night feeling like maybe I had food poisoning, but it passed and now I'm fine but tired. SAo, not food poisoning but not pleasant.
