Natter 76: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Foaminess

Someone has developed an indoor security drone system ... which seemingly will drive cats insane.
How will it cope with light fixtures? Stairs? Cats who think everything is a toy and will launch themselves like furry missiles?
The latter is what promises to be entertaining. I did see a brief video of a cat being fixated on the drone as it flew around the room (they're smaller than the outdoor drones and, seemingly, they can be programmed to stay in one room or one one floor). I imagine that there are some, um, kinks to be worked out.
Security drone, very expensive cat toy, what's the diff?
Aside from cost - as you noted - the amount of damage that can be done to the house before the cat kills the drone. (I'm not sure what catnip mice are going for these days, being catless, but I'm sure the drone will be more expensive.)
Interval of time between having to buy new ones?
My #1 question is if the drone is powerful enough to still fly around if I put it in a little ghost costume.
I saw an article some time ago about a man whose neighbor bought a drone and used it to buzz the man's dog. Got so bad, the dog had to go on anti-anxiety medications - yes, the man had asked the neighbor to not do that, but, well, there are jerks all over. Until one day the dog caught the drone and destroyed it. Neighbor wanted the man to pay for a new drone ... I believe he actually took it to court. And lost.
Cute panda.

Ha! And also...

Didn't realize how many of these types of things there were until we got our kitties.
I missed Atropa's comment and I'm sitting here laughing at the idea of a small drone in a tiny ghost outfit (basic sheet style or, knowing her, something with ruffles and stripes) flying around the house.
