Oh I've missed y'all. I truly think if I'd kept up here my mental health would be in a better place. Not suicidal, but all too familiar with the darkness.
ANYWAY, David's note of Mr. Bug made me think about how long it's been since I've been here. Mr. Bug and CJ have the same first name. That's not all, Mr. Bug's sister and K-Bug have the same first and last name. Hello confusion in the household.
Yay for Odin! Congrats, SuziQ! NEW HUMAN BEAN!
Baby! Did I mention that I'm a great-aunt as of a month ago? Not half exciting as a grandmother, though, and probably won't get to see the baby for months yet.
Baby Odin, welcome! Excellent news on the baby, and on the therapy, Suzi! You've definitely been missed.
Congrats, K-Bug & her C! Congrats, Nana Suzi! Welcome, Odin!
Welcome to the world, Odin!
Welcome BABY ODIN!
Well, we had our first COVID retirement today. I know we have been lucky as a department to be mostly untouched thus far by illness or departures of any kind, but still sad. Spouse of employee has major health issues, heart function, and employee is 70! I had no idea they were that old. I've been debating calling my retirement guy and seeing what would be needed to move my retirement up to 59 or 60. If I get in 10 years at current job I am vesting in the government retirement and that would be good. It might be more than I can sock away between now and then, but it also just might be doable if I putt $$ to retirement that I am just spending now.
They offered a really good early retirement package at my job, and I'm kind of devastated about the people who are taking it! And then there's the guy who we keep including in that group, but he graduated from college in 1967! That's not early retirement, man!
