yes ankles, I think this community has learned, are slow to heal and easy to hurt.
I feel like an old lady when I walk super carefully on bad surfaces, but once you have hurt an ankle you don't want to do it again.
Off to my sister's house to watch the debate. I bought a big bag of cheese curls and she has wine. I just know Pence is going to be condescending and annoying. But I'll watch because it is what I do.
Awesome you donated Matt, even if the reason you're able to is sad!
The second half of it's not even that sad. I've had opportunities that I gave a pass because I was still crushing on the last guy I got together with.
I do not usually watch debates but I kinda want to see Kamala Harris in action
Sorry you didn't get to see the place, Matt (are you looking to buy? Did I miss you talking about this before? I might have I am pretty oblivious), way to make use of the unexpected free time in a really generous way!
msbelle, Calli, amyparker and your Jim, Suzi, I'm so sorry for your losses, and I'm sad there were so many people in that sentence.
But! Baby! Congrats on the new baby, Suzi!
My ankle is getting better, well it isn't but I'm able to walk better than I ever thought I would, thanks to a miracle-worker of a physical therapist I found through a friend. It still hurts and is stiff, but I have almost all mobility back. Working on strength and flexibility. I walked across my sloping uneven yard the other day and almost cried because I could.
I'm getting settled in to my new job, and just as I was bemoaning that I like it but I seriously need more money, a guy I used to edit for as a side gig emailed me and offered me a contract. His company pays quite well and the document he just gave me to edit is 700 pages, so that's gonna take care of the credit card debt I ran up while I was unemployed. Which is a huge relief.
And Trump and Miller have got corona, so 2020 isn't entirely bad.
That's some good news there, Zen. Truly.
I cling to stair railings after a few hard lessons. Like the time I tripped going down the stairs in my old house, managed to land on my tiptoes, and then fell forward. Amazingly, I didn't hurt myself that badly.
I am occasionally surprised that people don't have to watch every step they take and cling to railings. I have no idea what that is like. Which is not me looking for sympathy, it is just a completely different way of life that I don't completely understand.
I used to wear Dansko clogs all the time - loved them - but stepped wrong, fell out of them, and broke bones in my feet. Twice. Now I wear flats. But I still look longingly at new clogs on Zappos.
