Natter 76: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Foaminess
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Oh wow what a dream, Tep! I'd feel betrayed, too. Ew, melons. I always give away any I'm served - my dad always ends up with mine and my mom's if we go out for breakfast that includes a side of fruit )very rarely does the side of fruit not include melons)
Valerian definitely has a powerful smell, makes me want to avoid it also. I've had cats that really liked it, though. Not quite as much as catnip, but heading in that direction.
I steamed so TJ's frozen dim sum for breakfast. Yum. Now I'm going back to bed for a little while. I wanted so badly to do this yesterday, I'm going to allow it today.
The melon flavor that I so dislike is maybe close to the flavor of Riesling and other sweet wines that I cannot stand.
Hi JenP!!
I like all the melons, mixed together in a fruit salad too. There is one that is yellow, can't remember name, that is super sweet and tasty.
Unrelated, I also have issues with teeth grinding
Same here, and lately it is worse than ever. Need to dig out my guard. I just use a generic drug store variety, but it works.
eta: I have retrieved DH from the airport! Third degree upon arrival from NY authorities. He has to respond to texts every day for the next 2 weeks assuring them he is staying quarantined.
People who live in California might have a distorted view of what various fruits are like in the rest of the country, most of the year.
Melons are fine if they're perfectly ripe, but that's a hard target to hit.
If so, no perfectly ripe melon has ever made it to the table of anyone encouraging me to try them.
Breaking news, apparently 45 is "on the roof":

I had no idea one could hate melons. Live and learn.
(Hail to all melons, other than a yellowish melon that is slimy and tastes like nothing and does not worth the effort).

Well, minus-t is NorCal and seriously anti-melon and anti-Riesling!
But point taken.
So...it's turning into pure chaos in Washington right now.
The doctor said one thing about Trump that was all rosy, and two minutes later Mark Meadows contradicted him and said Trump's vitals were very concerning.
There are going to be a lot more Senators and politicians testing positive over the next several days.
I note specifically the Senators because it could legitimately affect the SCOTUS hearings they're trying to jam in before the election.
@TheRealHoarse:
A group of people ignore a beloved woman's dying wish and rush to take advantage of her death.
They hold an event to announce their corrupt plan...
...and then one by one they start falling ill.
Gotta admit, it's all very Stephen King.
@StephenKing:
Have to admit it sounds like one of mine. Except where are the tentacles? There should be tentacles.
It will truly be sweet justice if enough GOP Senators stay infected to keep the SCOTUS nomination from proceeding. Keep hugging each other fellas.
How has McConnell escaped so far? I mean, I wouldn't want to hug him, but that's true for most of the others, too.
