Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have a big meeting today with someone who is a long time friend of BK. Other than Friend, everyone in the room will be female. After our first meeting, Friend said to me, "now I know how you feel!" (That is, outnumbered by men in the room.) I said, "Not yet you don't."

Oof. You are amazing.

Would you confirm I'm not crazy on two different points?

Point the first: There's this big band festival this weekend (big [band festival], not [big band] festival, although I would also like that), and so far I know when we're playing, but not anything else! Like, from the volunteer sign-up requests, I get the idea that there are afterparties and meals provided and whatnot, but I have no details about any of this! Apparently we are going to get information about a bands-only website with details, but do not have it yet. This thing starts on Friday! It is stressing me out.

And second: I have cause to want an air mattress about once a year. Am I OK to keep borrowing my neighbors'? It seems silly to buy my own, right?

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Sooo you may want to try googling "gigantic jillifont PNW" (or something similar), and see if the photos look like what you saw.

NO THANK YOU I WILL TAKE YOUR WORD FOR IT

My mother once sent me a video of a gadget that's supposed to easily sweep up THOSE THINGS so you can get them out of your house EXCEPT of course the video involved lots of helpful closeups of the sweepy thing working and so it mostly just made me run screaming for the close tab button.

It would stress me out.

Buy something your neighbors would need to borrow on a similar schedule! Everybody wins!

Our wings are not tired.

Jesse: Point the first: Stress appropriate, and hopefully relieved quickly. And second: Sparky's idea is a good one. You don't want to store an air mattress for once a year use.
