He's getting one of the experimental treatments, so I'm guessing that's why.
Please let it be one of the experimental treatment cures he touted. Dear Sandy Claws, I have been SO GOOD this year.

He's getting one of the experimental treatments
Interesting. I would think a sitting POTUS wouldn't be able to undergo experimental treatments (unless his life was imminently in danger), just because they aren't proven.
I hope every nurse, doctor, and orderly does every tiny petty thing they can to make him uncomfortable while he's there
Geez, msbelle, I thought you were talking about yourself!

Doesn't seem great. What a shocker, they're not giving him hydroxychloroquine. Or bleach.
Dana, I totally want to medical-nerd out about this -- where did you read that he's getting an experimental treatment? (I'm going to end up down a rabbit hole that ends with leeches.)
Both NPR and NYTimes have it.
Teppy, most media is now reporting it. WaPo has a statement from his doc. It's the Regeneron polyclonal antibody cocktail.
Dana, never mind -- I forgot that I could google, so I see it's the Regeneron antibody therapy. Interesting.
t edit I didn't type fast enough!
The treatment the president received is an antibody cocktail developed by the biotech company Regeneron, according to a memo from his doctor, Dr. Sean P. Conley. Mr. Trump is also taking vitamin D, zinc, melatonin, a daily aspirin and famotidine (an antacid better known as Pepcid), the memo said.
No leeches. Yet.
