How is school going for Matilda, Hec?
She's in online class right now.
Mostly, we're all relieved to have a high school assignment. It was weighing on all of us.
She's definitely responded much better to having the structure again.
They are tentatively talking about in-school classes again by November. That'll be a huge change and we'll see if she can form some new friendships then. The lockdown has really affected her friendships in ways I wouldn't have anticipated.
Tomorrow is Emmett's birthday, and Saturday Matilda's. He'll come down for that.
JZ's work has extended work-from-home all the way through June of next year. Not my favorite news ever.
We're still knee deep in dealing with selling JZ's dad's house (the one that had the big housefire) and his business. If it hadn't been for the fire, the house would have been on the market and probably sold by now.
BHP is Madame Hardy on Twitter. And that quick dip over there reminded me why I don't go on Twitter.
Oh thank you, juliana and Dana. I found her.
I end up on twitter a few times a week, sometimes more often.I tried to pare down what was political but there was no way because everyone is posting stuff or it gets retweeted.
I have noticed that anytime I comment lately I get a few responses and they seem to be mostly trolls so I will go through and report accounts.
Twitter definitely is making me feel worse right now, so I'm trying to stay off it. Also, giant work project is greatly limiting my ability to doomscroll endlessly.

My work did that a while back and it caused me to sigh heavily.
My husband's work did that, too. Like JZ, he works at a hospital.
I wish people would look at that and just think. Hospitals aren't keeping their non-patient-care employees at home to make Trump look bad. They're doing it, because they know a thing about health.
I mostly follow my favorite authors on twitter. Which doesn't necessarily preclude politics, as authors are people who have to live in the world, and politics affects them, too. But it does cut down on some of the awfulness. Or at least improves the quality of the commentary thereon.
Todddson, thank you for the link. It did improve my day.
Gud: status check
Are you still alive? Delirious from fever? Starved and dehydrated because your "partner" can't be bothered to help keep you alive?
Cindy, I text vw almost daily. Our girls are 6 months apart and we talk constantly about parenting and such. The girls adore each other and have been very sad that we can't see each other right now.

Same. Writers + people I know + plentiful use of the mute/block features when Twitter tries to recommend things to me means my feed is fairly nonterrible most of the time.
