Wash: Captain, didn't you know kissin' girls makes you sleepy? Mal: Well sometimes I just can't help myself.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Are her rats low?

The folks in my dad's office (he's retired but president of the board of an RCD so RCD people are his coworkers) gave him a surprise drive by birthday party yesterday. He was super touched and my mom thinks that is how all parties should be forever. I did make it here by teatime and we picked up salmon dinners downtown and ate at either end of the extended dining room table to maintain distance and it was lovely. We still have cupcakes to eat but we are all too full of salmon just yet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Are her rats low?

Ha!

What's an RCD?

I was hoping the new Netflix Home Edit show would be my new soothing favorite as they organize shit, but no, I find them way way too annoying. Sigh.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

-t, I'm glad the day got better after the flat tire. Those are never convenient.

meara, a friend has told me she finds The Repair Shop to be a soothing watch. I'm not sure which platform it's on.

RCD = Resource Conservation District

It's a lot of how does grazing or development affect the watershed? Who is responsible for these levees? Can we get grants to support ecological education? That sort of thing.

BTW I found the manual that tells you exactly where the jack goes. It was in the pocket of the driver's door, where it would be convenient and obvious. Well, maybe I will remember that next time. But I put the jack in the right spot, so that's a relief.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Oh, -t, such an eventful trip! Glad you got there in time for dinner.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I once returned to our apartment (after getting coffee from the cafe) on xmas eve and a pregnant woman with a baby was pulled over in the bus zone with a flat tire. In the rain.

I offered to help fix the flat and she gratefully accepted. Her husband (giving directions over the phone) was an alpha asshole with annoyed, aggressive, snippy instructions BUT their expensive car was a BMW and BMWs have a specific slot built into the frame of the car where the perfectly oiled and modulated jack fits.

So I am here to say, "Why don't ALL cars have a specific slot for your specific jack in a German-anal way because it makes the whole process so much easier."

Herding cats for fun

Has this happened to anyone else? I've received not one but TWO letters from fund seeking Republicans. What sort of crappy data base would flag me as a Trump supporter? I feel so soiled and unclean!

I think I'll write an e mail to the RNCC advising them that they have inspired me to give money to Nancy Pelosi because I don't appreciate trash talking, insults and scare mongering from elected officials.

As the races get tighter, campaigns use broader and broader lists. Possibly even using a list from a non-politically affiliated non-profit. Possibly sending to every address in a zip code. Believe me I just text-banked for a candidate in IN that received some extra $$ and used it text non-dem identified sporadic voters. It was a SALTY bunch.
