Seriously regretting loaning out my respirator (for a good cause - friend was going to protests and likely to get tear gassed. Didn't predict this fire season, for sure. I do still have a few N95's which will be better than cloth masks if worse comes to worse and I do have to load up the car. Ugh. `

So my younger son just told me that he has been to the hospital a couple times in the last couple weeks with TIAs and heart issues. Not cool! He is however super on top of it. Seriously dieting and determined to nip this in the bud. Yes, I am freaked, but at the same time grateful that he and his wife are both super responsible and will do what it takes to fix it. He just turned 26!!!

I went to the doctor again today. Rapid Covid test was negative, but the doctor thinks I might have pneumonia. So he sent me for a chest x-ray, and the x-ray tech said that the doctor would call be later today with the results, but he didn't. I've got a few new meds, though. And a ton of work to do over the weekend, because I've been so tired that I'm falling behind on everything.

Yeah, being hospitalized with TIAs a couple times at 26 is not cool. Fortunately, Tesla insurance is awesome, which is probably why they gave him a million tests over a couple days in hospital. Also, since they are expecting a baby in January he is super serious about fixing his health issues. Mostly he is overweight. He said he has lost 12 lbs since last Thursday. His wife went to a nutritionist prior to getting pregnant and got herself to her ideal weight so I expect he will go to the same person, but he already knows what he needs to do with diet. Just has more incentive now. Taking deep breaths and reminding myself that this is a very serious and responsible young man and he is on top of it.

My students have their first exam this coming Friday, and there's a ton of work to do to prepare for that, and I've already gotten warnings about not pulling my weight on things like that when I was sick. If I'm going to take a break from work, I'll need to figure out how to make it official sick days.

Mom texted me. Her friend P is over Covid. It was a really mild case. One of her local friends was in quarantine brother daughter was exposed but their tests came back negative.

My grand plan to sleep in was busted up by the fact that I have dogs - you would think I would learn. If I want more sleep, I just have to go to bed early. Getting downstairs, letting them out, getting them food, and giving Miley a shot = too awake to go back to sleep. Sadly I am not a good napper, but since my mood is basically trash anyway I may take a nap later today.
