Joyce: You don't think it's too obvious? I think I look like I have a cat on my head. Buffy: But a very well groomed cat. Joyce: Well that's a comfort.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I'm so sorry, Trudy.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, Trudy. I'm sorry.

Thrive to spite them

I don't think Tim's family is being reasonable sorry you are dealing with that.

My grandmother turner 100 yesterday and instead of a party with the whole family and friends it's going to be my dad and is siblings and my uncle's ex wife (they only divorced after they retired and so she is still part of the family).

They have all been staying away from people up until this point so this is the safest it's going to be.

In work news turns out the fufillment orders drying up weren't a decrease in sales the company has been doing Stress Tests on stores. I think they have been shifting orders to those stores to see how they handle the volume, speed and accuracy.

I thought I hadn't done great with fufillment but they asked me to be a part of this so I'll be working 7-3 for 3 days. I was going to be off that week but my days off got shifted.

I had a mini panic moment when I got paged Hy the HR manager and when I called he asked me to come to his office. And then he was in the store managers office and I had a brief second of "oh shit".

In other news possibly related to production issues (I don't know) Nike has not renewed their contract with our company so at some point this year we will stop carrying all Nike products . And we won't be selling formal dresses any more or at least for the time being. We have the spring prom and Easter dresses in storage and I guess we will sell them next spring ....you know if there are proms...but other than that no formal wear. Which I guess makes sense it isn't a big seller and takes up a lot of space.

And we aren't going to be carrying as much stuff this fall/winter as we normally do. I guess because of production and distribution but also because people aren't buying as much of certain things.

And a co worker is friends with someone who does real estate or is associated with the mall...and the rumor is Amazon is looking to take over the Sears store as a distribution warehouse.

Thrive to spite them

And Furman University, which I drive by every day, has suspended a fraternity for partying after a lot of the students attending the parties tested positive and they are doing mandatory school wide testing.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

I'm so sorry, Trudy. Much love and strength to your entire family.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I'm very sorry, Trudy.
