You never know if a girl's gonna say 'yes', or if she's gonna laugh in your face and pull out your still-beating heart and crush it into the ground with her heel.

Thrive to spite them

I need to call my car insurance tomorrow because my automatic payment for my old policy just debited out of my account today. And pay day is tomorrow but if things go like my last paycheck my direct deposit won't clear my account until Sunday so if that happens I'll need to call the bank on Monday.

It's not much compared to what others are going through but little death duck nibbles.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha! You need some sort of Bumbershoot Organization podcast to round that out

Yes! Exactly.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Glad Skinner is okay! What a fright.

I'm about to go a few rounds with my new insurance company. They are refusing to cover my ritalin, and their charge for one of diabetes meds is more than I can reasonably pay. I can cover the ritalin, but it galls me, I shouldn't have to pay that out of pocket. The other one is probably a lost cause; I can apply for a reduced cost but I probably have too much in assets to qualify. Having some savings doesn't mean I can afford $200/month for one medication.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Matt, when you plant the next Biden sign in your mom's yard? Poke it down into the dirt in the middle of a set steel trap? Might give a stupid sign thief pause. Maybe.

I don't have a big cartoon-style steel trap laying around my apartment, but I do have a box of about 200 steel roofer's nails, a dozen spherical ceramic knobs left over from assembling my coat rack, and some green paint. Looks like I found a craft project to keep me occupied this weekend!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Zenkitty, don't forget to check GoodRx, which can help you if you're paying for it and not the insurance.

Poor Skinner. I'm glad he'll be ok.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Laura, I'm so sorry that happened. I'm glad Skinner will be okay.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

I'm sorry to hear that, Zenkitty. The healthcare situation in this country is beyond fucked up. There was a "confessional" recently from an insurance company PR apologizing for lying about the Canadian system being terrible during the creation of Obamacare. It's like too little, too late, dude.

Also how is your kid 13??

I don't know, meara, but it was on his birthday cake, so it must be true.

Also, yay puppy!

Our wings are not tired.

Watching the RNC crap and all I can think is super spreader event. And they deserve it.
