I was once in the emergency room (teaching hospital attached to a university) and I overheard, from the next cubicle, a college student being told that she was constipated and given a laxative. So ... it can persist into almost-adulthood.

They did an X-ray and you can see the pockets of gas and constipation and it was quite substantial. I feel like a bad momma who wasn't monitoring her bathroom habits enough.
Just got an automated call - both offices are closed today due to smoke. Makes no actual difference to me, I'll be working from home with a Vog mask on either way, but we won't be shipping any orders out either, or receive inventory. This should be interesting.
Oh, Steph. All best thoughts for you.
Hugs, Steph. I'm so glad your brother has the professional chops for this.
Update: my brother says my dad is refusing to go to the hospital, but he's going to call him later and check on him. He plans to visit my dad in person tomorrow and, at the very least, get his guns.
This is FUCKED UP. I really can't even handle this.
I'm so sorry, Tep. That's a whole lot of not good.

If you are capable of doing it, do you think a call from you would convince your dad to go with your brother since you are the one that often helps him with medical issues? Is it possible a medication is causing the issues?
Timelies all!
