Overwhelming? How much more than whelming would that be exactly?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

She's still miserable today, but she has had some relief. We're going to have a very lazy day today.

I am trying to be loving momma, while being freaked out for having to spend so much time in a medical facility and all the idiots who don't know how to wear a mask properly.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is a lot, sj, lazy day today sounds like the right call!

The treehouse is pretty sweet. I am wondering if the cattle come with the castle and remembering that one Downton Abbey scene with the pigs...

Coding and Sleeping

I watched the DNC roll call this weekend and I marvel that they made the roll call something I actually wanted to watch.

Herding cats for fun

Plaid carpeting? My eyes hurt.

Yes, there were several rooms where the carpet had to go.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Ugh, you guys. My brother (the therapist, thank god) has been visiting for the past week, and he thinks our dad is showing signs of psychosis. As in, Dad is seeing hallucinations and thinks they're real. So we might be taking him to a psych unit later today. (Edit: but my brother is DEFINITELY going to remove all of Dad's guns from his apartment even if we don't take him to the hospital.) I am 100% unable to cope with this, for some really ugly reasons (and I don't mean to be vague, sorry, but it's ugly shit I can't talk about). I mean really really REALLY unable to cope with this.

But first Tim and I have to go get medical exams for life insurance, which is a whole other thing I really am stressed about. Not because of the medical exam itself -- I pretty much know my level of health -- but because thinking about life insurance makes me think about the inevitability of us dying, and we're in a pandemic, and...yeah.

I'm doing really really badly today. I think I need to text my therapist.

Oh Teppy! That is a lot. I'm glad your brother is on top of things with your dad. Let's hope it is a medication issue. So often they can cause issues, like I need to tell you!
