Aww yay good parenting Gud! I'm glad your kid felt she could share this with you—that speaks to past good parenting as well as present good parenting in the good reaction!

Gah, poor Matilda. I was just wondering what her situation was re: school after seeing a bunch of First Day of School Online posts in my FB feed...
Everything about school seems to be screwed up this year. My best wishes to Matilda for a solution that works for her (and you).
Meanwhile, Randy Rainbow presents Kamala.
Not that I'm wishing any bad on anyone, but I hope the Covid situation means that there's more than a usual amount of high school vacancy slots in the system this year, which means that Matilda will be settled successfully and soon.
Gud, that's a big deal indeed, and not one that gets lightly entered into, either! Do you have a parent group that you can go to for support and advice? That can be so helpful!
(Mostly I'm happy your daughter is going to be making a life where she's comfortable in her own skin. )

In an indirect way that might happen. Because Facebook, Google et al are allowing employees to work from home well into next year, there's been a fairly big exodus of people from the City. The available housing and rental stock is twice what it was last year - a huge change.
So, presumably some of those people had kids in the district and that could open up slots.
Oh, I hope so David. Personally, I am grateful I don't have to deal with back to school issues right now. It has to be such an added stress. Our schools are virtual only for the foreseeable future. Which I totally support, but this really does not work for everyone.
Gud, your daughter is lucky to have your support. Best of everything for her.
Hec, that is a very messed up school system. I feel so bad for Matilda.
Timelies all!
Today was my telework day, not that I had a lot to do.
Hi, Sheryl!
We had a very good morning, and then somewhere around 3 it was like ltc flipped a switch into crank mode.
3 is often my crank time too. I've tried to work in a snack and read a bit break. Even just a few minutes. But I didn't today, although now it is 5 so I can kinda quit, or least let it be optional to answer the phone.
