More roadblocks thrown up by Allstate, which I only found out when my car was at the dealership collision shop waiting to be worked on. A service rep literally came running out to give me my keys back as I was walking toward my mom's van to leave. Apparently the claim number I was given, which has worked for me so far, doesn't work for the body shop and they have to have the official estimate from the insurance agency to order parts.
Oh well, at least I have confirmation that my car is safe to drive on the highway. Aside from the front bumper the damage is only cosmetic, nothing wrong with the engine, transmission, or brakes. Take that, huge SUV that had to be towed from the scene!
Dana, I hope the call went welll tons of ~ma.
ltc woke up not quite herself, but she seems to be improving.

LMD? Fae changeling? Demonic possession?
Hugging and snuggling momma and not very hungry. She was sick last night, but she's always a changeling.
Thank you for the -ma. They did come back with a significant increase in salary, so we're pretty happy. I actually have a third interview with another company on Friday, so I still have to figure out what to do with that, but things are looking much better.
Woo, Dana!
Aw, ltc. Hope she is recovering.
Yay, Dana!
Yay Dana!!!
Has anyone's work started going back to any level of in-office working and has released a policy for employees with children that due to closed schools and day cares will still need to wfh? Specifically if there are positions that cannot telework?
If so, would you mind sharing with me? Big boss has asked that we research best practices, but most employee policies like this are not made public and I do not know many ppl in local government jobs to ask.
We have semi-reopened office and schools have announced they will be virtual through at least Jan so that is a conflict for us and all non computer type jobs.
