I need to check and see how my Jamaican and Indian friends are greeting this news. It seemed like she was the front runner for a long time. I'm ready for this election to be behind us.

Thank you, Laura, I was on a conference call.

Re: Kamala. Fine with me. I don't know much about her, but I do know that she's not Pence, which is one of the big things I'm looking for in a VP.
I started following her on FB after she folded her campaign and since then I've just liked her more and more.
I like her; I just don't like that she'd be leaving the Senate.
Timelies all!
I'm starting to give up hope of any sleep past 5:30 thanks to yowly cat, aka Nova. Even after she's been fed she still yowls regularly. Sigh...at least no one at work can see the deep circles under my eyes, thanks to masks and my glasses.
Oooooh, Kamala! Good choice, Joe.
She always seemed like the obvious pick, but I'm still really happy to see it. Warren has always my favorite in the primaries, but I think Kamala is the better veep pick.
I'm pretty thrilled with Kamala as Biden's VP pick!
I like her; I just don't like that she'd be leaving the Senate.
At least there's a democratic Governor (Newsom) to replace her. And, of course, he gave her the first boost to her career when he made her District Attorney for SF.
When he first became Mayor he placed Kamala as DA, and an Asian woman (Heather Fong) as Police Chief and another woman as Fire Chief. All firsts.
So I'm confident in his appointment bona fides.
