Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wow, what an asshole. I'm sorry that happened!

Our wings are not tired.

I'm sorry, sj. Exposure to that level of hatred is always emotionally jarring. I don't understand it, and I don't want to understand.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, sj, how terrible! The awful people are emboldened, which is kind of good in that we can easily see who they are, but truly truly sucks for all the awful stuff they are doing

She does, Sophia, and I appreciate it but I was trying to work and eat my lunch at the same time and there isn't room for all that AND a cat on this chair.

All my calls are done for today! I don't think I'm going to get quite as much of my actual work done today as I originally hoped. But some, so that'll have to do.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Apparently a storm came through this area around 3 am and woke Gary up. I slept through it, though I still got woken up by Nova meowing a little before 6. Not sure why I woke up one time but not the other.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks. I'm just very grateful he didn't have a weapon.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I love Tramadol. IJS.

Heh, so much individual variation.

Acetaminophen helped me little, but not much. Ibuprofen worked, which was bad in a way -- because I waited until I was maxing out on the dosage before I finally gave in and made a doctor's appointment.

The NP at the doctor's office prescribed Tramadol. It did nothing for me - less even than the acetaminophen had.

Two weeks later, when I told the doctor that Tramadol wasn't doing anything for me, he commented, "Yeah, the nickname for that is 'Trama-don't' -- but it was worth a try."

He switched me to a prescription for Meloxicam. That stuff worked great.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Aleve does nothing for me. Thank goodness Ibuprofen does.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I had forgotten about Aleve (naproxen sodium). I did try it once. It did nothing for my pain, but after a while I suddenly got one numb spot around the right corner of my mouth, and simultaneously another numb spot under my right big toe. Lasted for about half an hour, and scared me, so I have never gone near the stuff again.

This is so true. So glad no one was hurt.

Aleve upsets my stomach. Ibuprofen didn't used to, but now it does too.
