We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So, 3 conference calls today but none of them are mine, as such, so I was not too bothered about them but they are all clustered around lunch - the first is 11-12:40, the second 12-1 and the third 1:30-2. Obviously I won't be able to attend all of the first two but more importantly how am I going to manage lunch? I really wanted to go pick up something to eat today, I'm sick of all the food in my house. Haven't left the house in a week and a half, not quarantining as such, just resisting putting on actual clothes and shoes, really.

Our "town hall" (actually a presentation to the entire company, I guess we can ask questions via chat but it's not really *for* that as such) that was scheduled for next Monday got moved to Tuesday and then moved to the following Tuesday and that is making me nervous that they've got big news and that's probably not good. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.

The NY AG announcement about the NRA is making me LOL this morning: [link]

In one new revelation, the attorney general said her investigation uncovered that LaPierre recently arranged a post-employment contract for himself with the NRA worth $17 million. He never sought board approval for the deal, the suit claims.

Can I get me one of them post-employment contracts?

Our wings are not tired.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine tests positive for coronavirus ahead of Trump visit.

At least a couple fun news items today.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I shall giggle madly to myself all day today. Fuckers.

It is news to me that the NRA is a charitable organization. I just never thought about it, I guess. I am THRILLED they are getting taken down

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Can I get me one of them post-employment contracts?

I can't read because paywall, but is this "I will stop working and you will pay me this amount even though I've stopped working"?

Same.

ltc and I did a curbside pick up from the bakery, and then swung by the Dairy Queen drive through to pick up lunch. I am currently having a tiramisu shake! There is cake in it!

Coding and Sleeping

I think a lot of political advocacy organizations are charitable organizations. Dark money and all that.

I don't think so, Dana, I think it's "when I stop working for the government you'll pay me"
