In small world theatre news, I just rewatched Hamilton and made it through the credits without tears coating my eyes. The wig designer used to work with me at the Eastman Opera when I was a dresser in like, 1995-2000! He was the wig designer, and one thing I knew was DO NOT TOUCH THE WIGS! I hope he is doing OK in the pandemic, because I seriously picked the best time ever to give up on theatre as a money making enterprise and I am so worried for people who were doing well, because it is just seeminly done until January. I was already closeish to the production for someone who works at a college theatre, as I worked with the costume designer for Bring It On AND was accidentally once sent Jonathon Groff's measurements, which gave me a chuckle.

Except, I guess, regular depression mixed with pandemic fatigue
Oh, yeah. I guess if I want to validate those as real reasons for you I should accept them for me, too. Hm.
Streaming, erin? I forget what that's on, but it isn't broadcast, right? I guess it could go in Boxed Set. I haven't seen anyone talking about it, so I think you get to decide!
Aw, Sophia,neat!
My workday is officially done (tomorrow will likely suck, but that is a problem for tomorrow) and the cat is fed, I'm gonna lie down with the fan pointed right at me and not move for a while.
That's cool, Sophia!
My choir director at church, who's just been doing solos for Zoom church, showed us a singer's mask yesterday, and it was pretty impressive. He said it was developed for Broadway, so they are trying! It had like a brace inside holding the mask away from his mouth and also somehow wasn't muffling the sound at ALL.
Wow, cool!
I just realized I missed the first Operations biweekly meeting. Oops. Oh, well, I have my 1:1 with the new VP tomorrow, I can find out then what I missed, I guess.

Oh, that would be good, if it works.
He didn't sing with it on, but for talking, it was impressive.
I managed to pretty much stay away from the news and social media so that is a big win for my mental health right now. Or mostly staying away, I haven't really paid too much attention except for that ugly ass mural on the street in Tampa.
Welp, the entire library will be closing for the last two weeks of August and all of us will be furloughed. I'll be OK financially if we return to work in September, but yicks. I'm up to my neck in academic deadlines until mid-August, so I was counting on the last two weeks to catch up on work here.
