Oh, Erin, I'm so sorry. My best friend just had her knee replaced 3 weeks ago and there's no way she'd be as far along on the road to recovery now if she hadn't followed her pain medicine regime as closely as she did. She's got another month or so of PT but she's driving again.

Oh my god, Erin, I would fucking kill her. Man, I thought my mother was annoying.
Here you guys, watch this video. It made me cry laughing. [link]
erin that reminds me of my mom and "You can't drive you had a stroke less not even 5 days ago. It doesn't matter that you drove yourself to the hospital you cant' drive now." Deal that I wne through for.. way too long.
Aw, poor George got an Evil Paw
Still on baby watch. My SIL is at 2 minutes apart on contractions. My husband asked what that meant so I told him a few minutes, or a few hours, such is the way of babies.
But I finished Season 1 of Jane The Virgin and am now starting S2. It could be a long night.
Jesse, that looks like "stop hitting yourself! why are you hitting yourself?"
I KNOW! Why so funny???
Fingers crossed, Laura.
erin, that sounds so infuriating.
Will that be onerous for you? Or for much of Melbourne?
The only significant impact on our lockdown routine is that Costco is 5.3 km away from our home. (Not that Biyi was impressed last time she went in; the cashier was rather aggressively trying to wave her up to the checkout before the past customer had moved out of the way (she refused). Then, she did the same thing after checking Biyi out and before she'd moved out of the way. It's no great shock to see customers being cavalier with the rules, but it's more annoying when the staff are pushing it.
Anyway, It's bound to be disruptive to many people, not to mention to businesses like Costco and Ikea. But this is what it's come to. We were in a state to relax restrictions, but too many people were selfish idiots about it and here we are. And indeed here we are going to stay (to a precision interval of 5 km).
OMG askye, that's a danger to everyone else on the roads! At least my mom is only endangering herself ;p.
My internal screaming might have helped. She did take a Tylenol after I vented massively and (shockingly) felt much better when I checked on her an hour later. Now she wants to shower in the morning (an all-day exhausting task IIRC) then do a qigong class before round 1 of physical therapy in the early afternoon. And the she thinks she's gonna do a couple zoom meetings in the late afternoon. Yeah right. I'm super concerned that she's gonna be so wrecked after the shower that Pt will extra awful. But there it is, I dragged my feet on making her shower today so tomorrow morning it is. I'll be getting up extra early to allow myself time for coffee and sustenance before embarking on that particular onerous task. Today I was up and down two flights of stairs 5 times before I got breakfast for myself, I can't keep doing that without burning out.
