I know a family whose first born was given the name of their family pets/horse. All the same name. Not sure if that held out for all future pets, but I think they had a second child and it was not named the same.

We have agreed that all our kitties should be named for vampires, which is why we had Tzpesh and Ruthven, and now we have Vlad and Erzabet. But Mr. Loomy is pretty adamant that we will never name a cat Lestat, which I think is unreasonable.

Ha! As someone who own a cat named Murderbiscuit, I'm just going to emphatically state that you get what you deserve when you name your cat. Lestat the cat would be a drama queen pain in the ass.

My brother went 3 days without a name. Partly because when one was picked out it was the same name as my dad's brother's girlfriend and my mom's sister's dog.
But mom prevailed. The girlfriend left and the dog died and the extended family only thinks about them when this story is told
