Kaylee: Can I? Zoe: Sure. He's out, though. Kaylee: He did this for me, once.

Our wings are not tired.

My dogs have been Martha, Ralph, Ladyjane, Brandy, Schwartz (short for Arnold), Zoe, and Skinner. Some of them had been already named.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My family had cats named Marshmallow and Marple Newton, as well as Piglet and Christopher Robin.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I feel like I require dog details before trying to come up with names.

Absolutely. Ralph was exactly the right name for Ralph. He was a scruffy Lhasa Apso rescue, kinda sweet and goofy. Schwarzenegger was a very macho shepherd. And Zoe of course was a strong feminine warrior dog. Skinner just tries to be the boss of my cats.

Really, a picture would be better.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

There is a doggo!?!?! I do like Hercules Mulligan, but I believe animals tell you their name. So as much as I wanted Chairman Meow, I have Petunia.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I would like a dog named named Doggo McDoggerson. Although considering I already have Miss Kitty my vet might be disappointed in me if I went that way.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Shir~ma!

Meara, I concur that we need more information about said dog (ideally pictures) before even brainstorming names. I am personally against using person names for animals because then you end up in a scenario like my friend who named their dog Audrey...then her sister married a woman named Audrey. So it's not uncommon for the name to come up in conversation followed by "auntie or doggie?"

I got a covid test today. Found a CVS drive through site further away (in Woodbridge, for those familiar with NoVa, we're in Fairfax) that had an opening today. Much better timing, 6-10 days will come...a day sooner...and now I can be in mom's living room while the roofers are installing her roof and skylights. Apparently the crew who did such a crummy job a few months ago that it is being re-done tomorrow dropped soda bottles and other trash into her living room, in addition to decaying shingle bits and pieces. I'm not ok with that. I'll sit directly below them in a hardhat and mask if I have to.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Our cats are Edison and Tesla. Last names of historical figures often work well (and is often a source for posh-ish first names)

Brummel

Woolstonecraft

Lovelace

Pavlov

Bayer (for homophone fun!)

I have to get back to setting tile, but will continue to ponder.
