I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's excellent, Laura!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Bleargh, 11-hour workday today and every minute of it was rushing! But now I am full of fish tacos and feel considerably more chill about the whole thing.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Hm, "price point" has a fairly precise meaning in my workplace, but I imagine it has drifted out beyond the word of marketing to be used in a more nebulous fashion elsewhere.

It is real estate shows where I see abused - house hunters mostly.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I didn't love The Mandalorian, but I kind of got into the world-building and also I love love love Gina Carano, so when she showed up, that was fun. Also Ming Na Wen was in one episode! But really, I've enjoyed the SW animated stuff more than the movies recently: the last six episodes of Clone Wars season 7 was excellent. (I have no interest in watching Anakin Skywalker be a whiny jerk so I basically only watched the Ahsoka eps in the final season, and those were great.)

ION, I am in Colorado! Spent two days driving across Nevada and Utah, during which I only saw three Trump signs. The dog didn't love being in the car for that long, but holy cow, southern Utah is STUNNING. And now I'm in a cozy room with a belly full of tacos and ice cream. Tomorrow I have to work, but it's lovely to be here and get to hug my nephews and if only my dog would get along with my brother's dogs everything would be great.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yay for good trips and stuff!

I had such a lousy night's sleep the previous night that I called in sick, and seriously napped for much of the day. My sleep this past night was broken, but not nearly as bad.

Also I think nearby construction must have hit sulfur water -- that rotten egg smell. I doubt that's what's waking me up, but it's not nice, for sure.

Our wings are not tired.

Eww, tacos sound much better than sulfur water.

Enjoy Colorado and the family! I hope the dogs settle their differences quickly.

Feeling like it was meant to be bringing my son up here. Yesterday he told me that his closest friend from his Florida job is now Covid positive. He looked right at me and said he knows he would have been too if we stayed. This is the guy who gave him rides home from work and hung with him before shift. (and yes, son is 28, but very underweight, vapes all the time, and crap immune system) Also, he finished orientation and starts full time today. $2 more than he originally thought because of his desire to be 2nd shift. Also bunches of potential bonuses and incentives. He is looking forward to it.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Laura, that sounds good. Congrats to him (and you).

In other news, some people have been locked down too long.

Glad to hear that, Consuela! Oh, Clone Wars, I watched several seasons but then didn't. Ahsoka was always a favorite, I wonder if I can jump back in, or figure out where I left off or something...

Aw, Theo, that's unfortunate. I hope you can get some rest and the sulphur smell does not portent demons. Was it X-files where people got asked if there was a smell of brownies baking? That would be better. Get on that, universe. After some other improvements, of course...

Hooray, son employment and awareness! I hope his working 2nd shift won't mean you driving in the middle of the night, Laura

I woke up this morning thinking I really want to go to sleep so it's not going to be an easy day, but I have coffee-ed and will now attempt to get on with it as best I can...

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I didn't watch all of the Clone Wars, but I did go back and watch the essential Ahsoka episodes, so that I could follow her story in Season 7 and Rebels and also because she's rumored to (spoiler) show up in the next season of the Mandalorian .
