It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Thrive to spite them

Matthew's mom joined the church she has been going to. Which is fine but they don't wear masks and they took a picture of her and he pastor standing side by side. Not wearing masks.

I ... Can't even .

She says she will be careful and will wear a mask and then...

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We just found out that a 20-something nephew has (had?) Covid, which he got from his dad.

I'm at the point where I'm not going to see ANYONE outside my house until there's a fucking vaccine.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Someone on Twitter retweeted this guy who was like, I'm a doctor and my wife is a doctor and she's pregnant and we've taken every precaution but we're sick and our toddler is sick and 8 of the 11 people we've seen recently are sick. We've only socialized with my sister and her family and three other couples since this began.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey, has anyone heard from Norah recently? No idea why, but it occurred to me earlier that I haven't seen her pixels anywhere in quite some time.

No, that's a good question! I wonder if the LAistas are in touch?

Hmmm. There seems to be a flaw here, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Ugh. And there's still months more.

Herding cats for fun

Okay so this is interesting: my Colorado cousin's wife was sent home to quarantine because her ick might have been Covid. The test finally came back positive, and then the retest was negative, but she has no antibodies. Cousin is wondering what his test results will be. Even the professional nurses in our crowd are shaking their heads in wonder. This disease can be so weird. Either you don't know you have it or your body wants to shut down.

Our wings are not tired.

Take 2 on orientation for my son today for his new job. Last Monday he was sent away because he had a copy of his birth certificate and not the original. So he was rescheduled for today. Today I have his original certificate, and 2 copies, also 2 copies of his driver's license as well as the original. Hopefully this will do the trick.

Good would be him working, bad is me having to transport him 80 miles round trip twice a day. We are trying to get him a car since he can't drive mine.

My peace and solitude and serenity is still disrupted, but they did seriously clean up the living room and kitchen while I was gone out with my sister for much of yesterday. So that helps a lot.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Laura, is this a job for while you're away or are you back in Florida?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

80 miles! That is a lot.
