Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

BT- seconding using bandanas until proper masks can be obtained. Make sure it's doubled up over your face. At least they are cotton and super easy to wash!

It's no drama, if I really need one Biyi has a clean spare I can borrow. (Indeed I'd find it easier to lay my hands on a mask than a bandana.) I'm able to work from home and Ryan will be studying remotely - and I've got hold of a couple of new David Attenborough specials - so I've very little need to leave the house right now anyway. (Currently watching: Seven Worlds, One Planet. The North America episode!)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

We really liked that series, though maybe not quite as much as Planet Earth.

There's too much light pollution to see Neowise with the naked eye where we live, but there was a man at the waterfront who had set up a telescope and was letting folks look through it. It was extremely cool.

Punishingly Intricate

Somebody here recommended hand washing your mask when you come in and are washing your hands and that's what we've been doing. AIFG. Having lots of masks helps.

Ugh I'm in a fight, I guess, with one of my best friends on how I responded to a relative of hers on Facebook and it's really put me into a pit of despair. I'm having a pretty terrible weekend, tbh, and I feel like it's all my fault.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Very hot here. Well, it is July...

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm sorry you're having a tough weekend, lisah. It's hard for me to imagine you could be too much at fault.

I cannot seem to make myself do anything today.

There's still more today left, maybe I'll be able to get something done at some point, but so far, no.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh, I'm sorry, lisah, and agree with -t.

I went to the farm market (driven by my mother) and supermarket (walking) and the walking was a huge mistake.

If anyone is looking for custom made masks, the Madwoman in the attic is offering hers through Etsy. They fit really well, and the elastic straps with clips means they're more comfortable than regular masks. [link]

She's the seamstress who's made all of my batwing hem jackets and about half of my fancy event outfits. Her work is fantastic.

Plus teeny-tiny clips!
