Yay askye!
Woo hoo, askye! I would have rage quit after the day you've had, so props.
I sometimes feel guilty for eating things in my freezer because they are for .. eating..but later.. and I don't know why I feel bad.
I swear, the zombie apocalypse (or the threatened meat shortage) are really undue influencers of how I consume my groceries.
Like you are taking it from Future You Who might really need it? I get that sometimes. Also taking the last one of anything. Extremely silly since I live alone and share food with no one!
Also this!
But like, we aren't really the problem are we? - the mask wearing mostly stay-home people.
This is what's pissing me off today. If everyone had just stayed home for all of April, we might have been OK. But no. And now everyone is sick of restrictions but the problem isn't gone! So those of us who stayed home are still staying home while the national situation gets worse and worse.
So.Much.This.
Glad that came through, askye! And sorry your day is such an enormous ball of stress!
Huzzah for the W-2s!
That's good, askye.
Phew, askye!
Matthew's Mom sounds like a real handful, and it's probably helpful to realize that he's really blowing up over a half-dozen other things, it's just that it was the curtains that set him off.
Here's a good thought, at least one that cheered me up a bit. You may have seen some dire reports that getting Covid-19 results in an immune response that drops off pretty quickly. That doesn't mean a vaccine is impossible, what it means is that it will be good for a limited duration.
That's not ideal, but we already have a slew of vaccines that need 'boosters' that we're used to routinely getting, like tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis), measles/rubella, even rabies. So the result that you may be adding a twice-yearly coronavirus booster shot along with your once-yearly influenza shot. Once and done -- like the smallpox or polio vaccine would be ideal, but we'll work with what we can do.
