You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

What Shir said. {{Buffistas}}

My county had just applied to move into Phase 3 on the 19th when the health board said "You've got multiple outbreaks at long-term care facilities and you're nowhere near hitting the target of 80% participation in daily monitoring of confirmed cases, so no".

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

MA is Phase 3 now, and I'm contemplating taking a random vacation day to go visit Old Sturbridge Village, which has opened up because this may be my only shot at visiting My Happy Place this year before we (inevitably) end up stepping back a couple phases.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ahhhh, my weekly conference call was nice and short and I've pretty much taken care of my action items already. I'm gonna quit work on time!

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

AmyP, on the one hand it's nice that some people are being sensible, on the other it's appalling the bar for "sensible" has gotten so low.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Huh, apparently my region is actually in Phase 4. Confusingly, this means that both "continue to social distance outside immediate household" AND "large gatherings of up to 50 people" are in effect.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Ohio's governor is requiring masks in public starting tomorrow at 6 p.m. in 7 counties with high risk of (or in the middle of) exposure to and spread of Covid-19. This includes my county, because people cannot get their shit together and refuse to be inconvenienced so that people don't die.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Reviewing a change for release, so I check the new revision letters to make sure they're not trying to use one that's not allowed. The new revs are, in order, 'B', 'F', and 'D'. I've never felt so in sync with an ECO before.

Yeah, I'm definitely thinking good to get some things done/enjoy some stuff now, assuming it'll be worse later. Glad I got my surgery done, going to the dentist next week (had already scheduled, back in January, but am not canceling because who knows how long it will be!)

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another storm came through during the night, and woke Mr. S up. Another night of messed-up sleep here.

Oh, man. Yeah, I should try to get a haircut in case salons close again. I haven't had it cut since early March. I'm still pretty nervous about being in the salon, though. I just need to call them and see what safety procedures they're following, and that might make me feel better about it.
