Speaking of Brazil ... Himself has declared that, in addition to confederate monuments, he and his will be defending the Christ the Redeemer statue. Don't suppose he's aware it's in Brazil. On top of a mountain. Weighs something over 600 metric tonnes. Did I mention it's in BRAZIL?

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
And is anyone proposing removing it? much less the ridic attempt to topple it?
He's such an idiot.
Can we send him to Brazil to defend it in person? It's on top of a mountain so probably there's no wifi or cell service, right? What's the downside?
He can make out with President Bolsonaro while he is there.
There was an article in today's paper about how, with the Columbus statues being brought down, no one seems interested in taking down D.C.'s ... possibly because almost no one knows it's there.
Why do you have to tell them, Consuela?
I'd also need to inform my employer if I did something like this since there are tax and healthcare coverage implications.
Congrats Laura!
Welp, we're going back into lockdown over here. Not the whole country, just Melbourne. Australia had rolled back restrictions after new cases were brought under control and we spent three weeks without a fatality. But in Victoria the travel quarantine was botched. Anyone entering Australia is obliged to stay in hotel quarantine for 14 days. There was private security to maintain isolation. This is all a unique situation and I don't expect perfection or anything, but I'd think guards sleeping with people in quarantine would've been pretty clearly a dubious idea.
I got to run a D&D session for Ryan and some of his classmates last Sunday, first time in months. It'll be another six weeks to the next one now.
Oh yes, congratulations Laura!

High five, bt! ... well, we started partial lockdown here, I'm willing to bet it'll be a full lockdown comes next week. We officially "cannot control the chain of infection" anymore since last week, so looks like lockdown it is. I'm sorry about the D&D sessions.
And congrats, Laura!
