Dawn: I thought you were adequate. Giles: And the accolades keep pouring in. I'd best take my leave before my head swells any larger. Good night.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I watched Hamilton last night. The production was great, the performances were amazing (even if LMM had the weakest voice of the cast), I admire the hell out of the whole thing, and ... it didn't grab me. I didn't get emotionally invested, and the songs slid right off my brain after I'd heard them. But I'm really glad I got the chance to watch it.

(Also, I'm envious of Hamilton fans, because while I suspect that a professionally-filmed version of Wicked is out there somewhere and will eventually be released, I don't think there's one for Beetlejuice, and the closest I'll get to seeing it is bootleg footage.)

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I watched it with friends last night. This is how awesome they are - M asked "Are you going to sing?" and I said "I'll try not to, sorry in advance!" and they said "No, it'll be awesome!"

And I 100% jumped out of my chair and yelled "When you knock me down, I get the FUCK back up again"

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

(even if LMM had the weakest voice of the cast)

I'd love to see the show with Javier Munoz as Alexander Hamilton.

OMG, my face is swollen from crying at Hamilton.

I was proud that I didn't start crying last night until the Hamilton-Burr duel, because I usually start crying when Philip dies and basically cry through until the end.

the biggest thing that stood out to me was Philips death, which you can't get without the visual.

For me, it was "Satisfied," for the same reason -- that scene is so much more impactful with the close-up shots of Angelica.

Leslie Odom Jr. is just so goddamn *phenomenal*.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

And I 100% jumped up and yelled "When you knock me down, I get the FUCK back up again"

Really the only possible way to watch that performance.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I've done about half the chores on my list and have had my first drink of the day. I'm pleased with that progress.

Either the house an my energy are calming today or the dogs are pooped out. I'm not mad about it. The kitchen is looking the best it has in months. I might get the table and bar counter cleared off before dinner.

Lots of moving stuff from floor to floor still. Packed up two more bins of winter clothes that had just been piles for many many weeks. Returning tools to the basement from wherever I left them when I had a job.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Since I'm starting to curse idiots on Facebook, I'm putting down the keyboard for a while. Latest one was somebody saying that Fauci created the coronavirus...

Yeah, better if I go pull some weeds for a while I think.

Pace the rage.

Hey. New board.

I can't wait to see Anthony Ramos as Usnavi in In the Heights next (wah!) summer.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

We'd planned to watch Hamilton tonight, but so far our PS3, through which we route our Netflix and is our Blu-ray player, nor our fabulous and beautiful wide, flatscreen, but dumbTV is receiving D+. Neither of us is willing to settle for watching it on my laptop. Solutions are being pursued.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(even if LMM had the weakest voice of the cast)

I'd love to see the show with Javier Munoz as Alexander Hamilton.

I saw both on Broadway, and MUCH preferred Javier. (I'd seen him way back when in In The Heights and he was terrific then too.) The only original cast member I really missed the second time around was Daveed Diggs, to be honest.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I had to check, but the guy I saw is currently the lead on Broadway. At the time, they were prepping him to open in Chicago, so he replaced Javier Munoz when I saw it. It was right before Daveed Diggs left, thank god.
