I'm a bad mom who let ltc watch Hamilton with us. She was mostly ignoring the action on the screen and dancing around to the music, until the end with the final duel and she realized Hamilton died Then she burst into tears and had to be consoled.

Yeah, and she's just getting to the point where all of it makes her cry. She's very sensitive.
Happy Birthday, sj! Uh, sorry about the crying?
I'm not using it right now, but work pays for my monthly transit pass and my transit credit card expired at the end of June. I called and asked the provider to mail me a replacement card because they should have sent me one automatically before it expired, but clearly that didn't happen. I opened the letter today and found a replacement healthcare debit card, which I didn't need for another three years. So on Monday I get to call them again and politely ask what the hell.
My new work desk arrived today in five separate packages. Fingers crossed that its assembly doesn't drive me to tears this weekend.
Aaaand my Dad is in the ER again.
What? Noooooo. The goal is no ER, not ER again.
Oh, no shrift! I'm so sorry.
Dad~ma! And also desk assembly~ma
Happy birthday, sj!
Health~ma to your dad, shrift.
With the incredibly flimsy excuse of keeping the battery topped up, I went on a two hour drive through the countryside this afternoon. It was a beautiful, sunny day, and if it was hot, well, the AC worked.

I am sitting on my front porch in Otter Lake. Bright moon in the sky. A few neighbors setting off fireworks. Have several LED candles, a glass of wine, and my nook at hand. It's cool and peaceful and I wish I could share the calm.
Went for a drive earlier through mountain farmlands and way up to the windmill farms. So peaceful.
