this Hamilton fic wank that has EVERYTHING
I looked, I had to stop and re-read every few sentences, I blinked at it for a few moments, and then unfortunately remembered that somehow real life politics doesn't make much more sense than this. However, that summary is ******* beautiful. Thank you, Cindy.
I've literally never seen the phrase "gentrifying cannibalism" before.
Yes, however 2021 is just around the corner.
Edited: In order not to triple post (oops!), I edited another answer into this post. And then again because apparently I'm more tired than I think I am.
Cindy that is just...what. Whaaaat.
I went to the grocery store and now I don't want to do anything at all ever again
Happy Birthday, sj!
Apparently, that Hamilton fic wank is from 2017. But really, isn't it timeless?
I think my favorite part is that the person who uncovered the whole thing did it as revenge, because they were made to delete that Lin-Manuel Miranda/Thomas Jefferson fic.

Via fellating mermaids, no less.
I just hope G*s is out there somewhere, seeing himself as a sorryass slacker where internet frauds are concerned.

Wait, that's not us. Nevermind.
ok, reading that link right after watching the video behind the I Am Legend trend is a lot.
The people on twitter needing to be extra by posting all their Hamilton criticism is @@.
Coming at LMM for selling to Disney, for "glorifying" slave owners, for "exploiting" POC by having them play and glorify the slave owners.
Then even saw someone coming after his Dad, saying as a property owner he profited off PR stuff related to hurricane relief. I don't even know. Some people are miserable people.
It's so frustrating because there are legit conversations to be had, and that's not how to have them. Nuance, as it turns out, is a thing. (I mean, the "exploiting" thing is just dumb, and a whole other kettle of fish)
There's a Time interview with Daveed about Jefferson, and I'd love to see extended versions of that, as well as with Chris Jackson about Washington. They're smart guys and lived with the complication for a long time, and I'm sure they have things to say, even if they're not exactly the things people want to hear.
