I'd have happily gone without a haircut for another year if it meant investing in a way to provide safe childcare and schools.

Also, while I have heard the term Yacht Rock I have no idea what it sounds like. I imagine something Jimmy Buffet-ish?
I believe it's inspired by soft rock/lite rock of the 1980s. Since yacht rock is new to me, I haven't heard any. I need to remedy that, though.

According to my doctor, the weird throat thing is almost certainly muscle tension because of stress and ongoing existential dread. And because my doctor knows me REALLY WELL: "I'm sure you've been emotionally supporting your friends and family and trying to help people. So, what are you doing to take care of yourself? Are you giving yourself permission to relax? Ask for help?"
