Our wings are not tired.

I have not been sleeping well. Stress ...

I'm afraid it does the opposite to me. All I wanna do is sleep. Moving is super stressful, Todd.

I'm trying to figure out the NY migration. It's complicated.

Your commute increased?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

If you're asking me, yes. Due to the protests downtown (between home and office) a lot of streets are closed off, bus and rail service has been seriously reduced, so my commute is longer. And since I have to change from one mode to the other - and the bus drivers are not required to pick people up if they don't want to - it can take 90 minutes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Public transportation is a total cluster right now. And it's such a downward spiral -- no one's on it, so they cut service, so it's less practical, so even fewer people take it....

Now tagless for your comfort.

Holy shit, David. That sounds like a rage & anxiety-producing shitshow of a system that fucks over a lot of families.

flea, my heart is with you. We pushed our public opening back a week since our plexiglass shields aren't supposed to ship until this Friday. Next week will be installation and bringing staff back on staggered shifts to work out the details.

Which will probably change once we open.

We did start our online summer library program and I have posted my first virtual learning lab on Facebook. I basically made learning kits to hand out to anyone who asked. We will do one a week, with projects like straw rockets, origami, paper pinwheels, star sticker constellations and popsicle stick catapults. (OMG--those were SO MUCH FUN!)

I am doing my first virtual story time tomorrow. MEEP.

Listening to Atlanta DA. This is just so painful.

eta: felony murder, maybe something will change in my lifetime

Laura-- are you saying they charged the cop with felony murder? That's astonishing.

Zenkitty - Jun 17, 2020 12:25:35 pm PDT #22485 of 30019
Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Also astonishing, one of the cops involved is testifying against his partner.

Our wings are not tired.

Yes, Zen, that is more astonishing than the charges! It did sound like the other officer was completely surprised at the turn of events.
