Managed to decide Father's Day was today, so have made all the calls and shipped the gifts a week early. Oh, well.

Timelies all!
Just another one of those days. Mr. S is still in pajamas and has been wild most of the day.
Of course it probably doesn't help that he woke up around 7, because I made a fair amount of noise while trying to pill Nova.(and I later found the pill on the ground. Pilling the cat needs to be a two person job.)
Sorry, Sheryl. You and Gary need to have a day to be wild and in your pajamas all day! I know the whole lack of childcare situation has to be so hard on so many. I can't even imagine. Other than when the boys were nursing I was always able to take breaks. Once they were out of diapers they had at least half-days during the week at pre-school.
There was a local place that made rose ice cream, and it was the best thing ever.
Tho' I just realized that the Madwoman in the attic was planning on making rose syrup anyway, and I bet that would be fantastic over ice cream ...
I went to Walmart today for the first time since March. I was walking, and realized I was near, and needed toothpaste adn razors, and wanted to look at plants. I have only been going to my little grocery store, so this was more people than I have been around in forever.
My big concern in going back is public transportation. My bus ride is an hour and a half to work. The bus seems like the perfect place to give or recieve the virus- enclosed space, lots of people. My office has not really said when we are going back. We can't have students in large groups inside the buildings (they can do labs and clinical in groups of ten) so why do we need to go back? But I miss my dual monitors a lot! People seem to have differing views depending on what meeting or group I am in. Some are telling me that I should ask to go in and get my monitors. Others say, why would you do that, we are back in two weeks. Very confusing.
Water off until noon Monday. They are waiting for a part. So 36 hours with no water. I'm unprepared. Usually I make sure I've drawn four gallons for drinking and hand washing, but this situation was a nasty surprise. My neighbors are bringing buckets to the swimming pool so they can flush.
Why can't I stop thinking about how much I want a shower?
I hear you Katerina -- we had no hot water for more than a week around Christmas here, and while I could go to a hot tub place near work for shower relief, it was a frustrating time. (Of course, that was a Before Times solution -- in fact, the hot tub place went out of business thanks to the pandemic.)

I just ordered a Rose Cordial from El Guapo, which is a woman owned business out of New Orleans: [link]

You really need to keep her. I'm so jealous of everything you post that she has made.
TCG just informed me that he has an evening meeting every night this week except Friday. He'll be able to come home for dinner, but I'll be doing bedtime routine by myself all week. Send help or gin.
DH came out to the patio with two glasses of cold water and a sly smile. Confessed he had used up our last flush...and heard water running to fill the tank. "It was... seren-poop-u-lar!"
Back to normal, with the stoopid jokes that always make me laugh.
