Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

If you work where I think you work, Jesse, I think that's good. I saw a headline about it today.

Probably!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I wonder if the Authorities theorized that of 1000 protesters, they'd only get 300 or so to show up, but it turns out that socially-conscious protesters who pay attention to things like masks and social distancing ARE going to show up to be tested.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ugh, Cashmere. What a mess.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

One of my favorite restaurants here on the island announced a couple of hours ago that they won't be reopening. I am really sad about this: I've known Alice and Lena since I moved here four years ago, and every morning for the last week I've been waking up thinking "Today? Can I walk down today, and sit outside and eat some eggs and smile at my friends?"

We've lost two other places on the main street and there will certainly be more, but this one is hard.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another early awakening, courtesy of Nova.(who seems to be feeling more like herself again-certainly she's eating like normal.)

I'm sorry, amyparker. I got an email that a restaurant I used to go to over by where I lived before this house is closing the end of the month, and I'm sad about it even though I haven't been over there hardly at all since I moved away, long before all this.

Thanks, -t. I hope you're feeling better.

I am, thank you! Got tested just in case, but I'm pretty much fine.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Test~ma, Cashmere. I'm also angry with the lack of leadership that's led to where we are, both with the virus and with police violence.

Statewide, we're opening up in stages. We've also seen a notable rise in cases, likely due to people being stupid over Memorial Day. County-wide, they're implementing mandatory face masks in all public places on Friday. Not sure if the people who drive in to shop from one county over will know.

Aaaaaand they ran out of tests. Again.
