I have emailed my boss about the duplicate work.
At least now I have seen the two spreadsheets side by side. She was missed a lot of entries, so I at least feel like my work was not wasted.
I am headed into the office in half an hour. Trying to get myself together before then. Putting on office clothes to help with that. Now food. food might help.

the news. the pain in my friends' posts. my black friends are not doing well.
I understand. This morning I welled up when I saw the protest at the capital with all of them on the ground for 9 minutes. Just so overwhelming. DH and I think about all our basketball kids and the dangers that they endure that our biological sons don't. They visit, and I want to hug them, but can't. Actually I told our nearly 7' Max over the weekend that I probably could hug him safely because we would still breathe about 3' apart. He laughed and mimed hugging me. The kids have been coming by to help DH with his construction project. They are still working out, but no real basketball yet, so they are bored.

Still haven't found anything official, but I came home and while there's still smoke rising into the sky from nearby it is (a) farther away and (b) so much less than yesterday that I feel pretty safe.
Now I'm supposed to work which seems pretty silly but I'm sure I'll get back into the rhythm of that soon enough

I woke up in the middle of the night, and smelled smoke, and thought "OMG have the protests ended up with shit on fire?!?" and got up and sorta smelled out my window....and then realized no, it's just that my hair and clothes smelled like smoke because I was at a friend's for outside distanced dinner and they had a fire going. Doh.
