Just curious, about how many people wear masks when you are at a store these days? Seems like it's fallen to about 10% in my area.
I don't like this at all. I would like my family (and you!) to remain healthy.
I'd say 90% or more are wearing masks here, but not all of them are actually covering their noses or mouths.
I was big bowls in the dishwasher, but I put them over smaller stuff. And everything seems to come out clean.
I run the dishwasher twice a day. Stupid kids.
Not all of the customers were masks a lot of them complain about how uncomfortable it is. And I'm like "yep, and I've been wearing mine for 3 hours now, will wear it for about 7 hours total today".
I'm being embroiled a bit in work drama and part of it is my own fault. The women's shoe specialist (formerly the men's shoe specialist) told me "oh I over heard someone ssaying you and A (the shoe stocker) don't get along and that's why you are always in mens active wear instead of in mens shoes." and I was having a day and it got under mys skin. I asked hwo said that "I can't tell you, and dont tell anyone I said that bc the last time you said my name to a manager I got called into HR" ... I have no idea what that was about and she wouldnl't elaborate.
I did kind of vaguely mention it to the shoe stock guy.. who told his (and the women's shoe specialists) supervisor .. who came time and said she wanted me to make a written statement and name the person. Which made me feel like.. oh shit.. and I finaly did name them and I guess there has been issues with drama like this already since we got back with said person.
And the more I think about it-- the more I feel ike - of course she was trying to start drama. Why else would she say somethign like that.
I know why I'm not in mens' shoes that often - I know the menswear section (well the activewear section and big & tall) the best of anyone and I'm good in that area and they have the suits guys in shoes because people need help with suits and there is always someone else there to run get shoes and help with that. But I was having a day so I started to doubt myself and I wonder if that was the person's intention in the first place. I don't know, I hate all this.
Oh hey, is anyone in touch with John H? I'm sure it's him on this week's Extra Hot Great!
WOW THAT WAS EXCITING!
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU HAD TWO-INCH HAIL POUNDING ON THE DOOR, HUH?!
Yikes, so Jim Butcher (of Dresden Files fame) is apparently spouting off about how social distancing isn't making any difference? Argh.

Two inch hail?? Yikes!!!
Also, glad I'm not completely nuts on the pots/bowls/dishwasher thing. I ended up hand washing them while I did some of my own.
Then two friends came over to say bye—they're moving to Michigan in two weeks and I'm going to miss them so much—and one of them is pregnant so I'm so sad I won't get to see the baby and hang out with her and so on. Such a bummer that we didn't get to properly celebrate their last few months in town! (They're both doctors and have been v busy, even if we didn't have to distance)
Yeah, I was talking to Mom on the phone when I started hearing something going BONG off the carport outside. So I open the door and find a few chunks of brussels-sprout-size ice in the yard. I grab one and take a picture for Mom and we keep talking.
A few minutes later I realize it's gotten REALLY LOUD outside, so I stick my head out again. Not only is there so much hail coming down it's starting to fill the yard, but the wind is so strong it's
pushing the hail in through the door.
So I slam it closed and we just listen to it going BAM BAM BAM for a while. luckily there doesn't seem to be any damage to the windows or the cars outside.
