Hey. New board.

I wish more did. I might not have to grind my teeth at seeing "grin and bare it" written quite so often.

Pretty sure anybody who pronounces bear with two syllables pronounces bare the same way.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

There are three episodes of Frank's Place that various people have uploaded to YouTube, and I have now watched them all. What a brilliant series, even in low-res video that was obviously ripped from actual video tapes.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, I remember that show being good! I wonder how much of it I actually saw...

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I loved Frank's Place! Was so bummed when it was cancelled after one short season.

It was part of that whole movement towards half hour dramedies that didn't have the usual sitcom beats, along with The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd and others.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Man, I'd kill for The John Larroquette show to be on DVD or streaming somewhere. YouTube has a lot of the episodes, but the quality is terrible.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Coding and Sleeping

I can't wait for the weekend to be over. Wish I could actually go into the office though. Stuff has come up slowing down my ability to do work on the board, but I found a problem with the log rotation and hopefully fixed it. Also it looks like server OS updates are happening on their own so I think that's configured okay.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S is refusing to go to his room to get dressed. I'd really prefer him not to get dressed in the dining room, which is where he is now. sigh...

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

So sad I missed a how are things pronounced!

I still remember Nutty complaining about Nathan Fillion's apparently Canadian "borrow" in Firefly, 'cause he just said it like I did. Apparently, my parents never lost that one?
