I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I guess I'll put statins on the list of possible causes, after I get my hormones checked. Boy, aging is fun.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I'm finishing deadline #3 and then getting some dinner and little non-academic reading and Pixie Dream Mountie quality time before heading to research on deadline #4, dammit.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

'Pixie Dream Mountie' is a good term that I wish I'd thought of.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

whew I got the mask made and delivered to the nearby person that I do not know that had asked for one weeks ago.

Ten guilt points gone away!

Now I only have 5 masks that I have already committed to, to make. I have parts of 3 cut out. so maybe I will get some made today.

I washed dishes, emptied the dishwasher, put some things away and have an hour before I have a commitment. I can:

- take some clean clothes upstairs
- get a load of laundry in
- vacuum the livingroom

that shouldn't take the whole hour, right?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Zen, is taking an alternative like Rosuvastatin an option? I take that, and while the full dosage does cause me to heal slower and bruise more easily (I take it every 2 days instead), my doctor said I was one of only two patients in his career that turned out to be sensitive to it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm listening to my landlord curse the plumbers who installed pipes in my apartment. Apparently there was some high level incompetence involved, leading to rotted out cupboard walls, soaked carpet, and all manner of nastiness that had to be carried out by the bucketload. My landlord is 75, and super nice (hence being here to fix my plumbing on a lovely Sunday afternoon). I hate bothering him, but it's not like plumbing problems fix themselves. Of course, we're all dealing with this in masks, and he's gloved. Which I'm sure makes it even more fun for him.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ugh, Calli. That's certainly a drag for everyone involved.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh dear, good plumbing~ma to you and your landlord, Calli.

Matt, thanks, I'll keep it in mind if it gets to the point I feel I have to take it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, Calli! That sounds like a mess.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Yeah, the thing about the statins is that the side effects can be major, and include things that you wouldn't expect, like easily getting angry

I can't remember what they put DH in, but he stopped taking it because of sudden onset anger issues. It was scary. He's going to discuss a new one with his GP when he goes back in.

Matt, that's what my NP put me on. Low dose.

Oh, Calli, that sounds like a nightmare.
