I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Groceries acquired - including 4 single rolls of toilet paper! [angelic choir]

Now I need to lie down for a bit

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had to go into work this morning to process some samples. Didn't take all that long, luckily.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I just had my check up over the phone yesterday! Did have to go to the lab on Thursday, but they screened me and it took 10 minutes.

My numbers sucked and I asked my NP if anyone was doing BETTER in lockdown.

Point made.

I am now on a statin. Fuck.

Cashmere, I have been on a statin for a few years now, and I just have accepted it. I eat pretty healthy: mostly whole grains, not a lot of meat (although too much cheese and wine), lots of vegetables, a fair amount of oatmeal. I run 3-4 times/week. And I just can't get my numbers down (although they were really low after finishing Kilimanjaro!). So I accept that it's partly genetic, and also I'm not going to go full vegan. I need cheese in my life!

But Kaiser is pretty chill about the whole thing: I can renew my prescription online and they mail it to me. It's really not a big deal.

watching the graduation thing on every device I have because in my mind the #s for Obama will be HUGE and make the shitty orange clown lose a bit more of his mind.

Our wings are not tired.

It just brings tears to my eyes to hear a real President speak. A couple nice jabs in there too.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Yeah, no. They really want me to come in for a physical and bloodwork. What the fuck. That is some kind of bullshit. They said "we schedule the physicals in office during well time only in AM so you are not around any sick type visits." I am not filled with confidence, motherfuckers.

Yeah, so do mine. Labs at the only hospital in 50 miles and then an appt at the clinic where they are known as opioid pushers. I am not consoled. I'm also apparently spontaneously going off of bcp because I didn't expect the fuckery. Who says, yeah, contraception in a pandemic is a good plan? Much less how much I want to avoid both buildings.

So I accept that it's partly genetic, and also I'm not going to go full vegan. I need cheese in my life!

There are great swings I will make for my health but I don't think totally dropping dairy is one.

I feel like it would be bad to spontaneously go off my blood pressure meds, since hypertension is a higher-risk category for covid-19. (As long as I'm taking the meds, my BP is fine and dandy, which I think means I'm not at any higher risk, because normotension doesn't cause vessel or heart damage, so I should be fine. But that means I need to keep taking them.)

I feel like in 2 weeks there's going to be a big spike in cases/hospitalizations, because restaurants and bars opened back up yesterday and people are being fucking stupid. And if there's a spike in cases, my doctor might change his mind and tell me to stay home. I fucking well hope so.

Probably, yeah.

People really don't understand what "asymptomatic transmission" means.
