Anyone else who wants to kill some entertaining time, I loved this—how well do you recognize hit songs from various decades on a scale of "don't know it/sounds familiar/know it/sing all the lyrics" and then compare to people of different ages. I do with they separated 2000 and 2010? It was from a whole "omg kids who are 18 don't know songs from 2000 but wait when I was 18 in 2000 did I know songs from 1980?" Apparently. I definitely found I was much quicker to hit "know all the lyrics" after half a second for the songs in the 2000s and much slower and waiting for the chorus on older songs. [link]

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
It was the FIRST Star Wars Movie.
I also convinced her to take a nice DK Star Wars Visual Dictionary, too.
ltc is crying every five minutes today. This is so overwhelming for her.
Poor noodle.
My kids have slacked on school work to the point of disaster. Liv just doesn't see the point, and I am pretty sure Owen is ADD. I need to schedule him an assessment.
And they are nearly grown ups. I can't imagine having a little at this time.
Aw, I'm sorry, sj. I've had days like that recently, too, but it's probably even harder on her.
OK, got some clarification on our "soft reopen", notably, according to my boss, if you aren't in the office on your assign days, probably no one will notice and the purpose of all this is to get us back in the habit of actually going to the office some of the time so it's not a complete readjustment when we eventually are back full time (which they seem to think will be in a month but I don't know that that is based on anything at all). The guidelines say we have to wear masks in our cubicles (no need if you have an office and the door is closed and no one else is in there with you, everyone else = masks all the time) but my management said no one will be checking and use your judgment at your desk but definitely wear a mask if you are up and about. Which I don't think is the best plan because we have zero ventilation, but I am comfortable in a mask. We are awaiting clarification on whether those of us with seasonal allergies need to stay home if we are coughing/sneezing or what. Very unclear what the kitchenette situation is gonna be - can we use the fridge and microwave?
I will absolutely be stealing toilet paper to bring home. Just got a notification that the order that was supposed to be delivered by 8pm today is delayed...
I just told her she can watch all the Doc McStuffins she want. TCG probably won't be happy.
Hey, if I use comfort tv to help me through this time so can ltc.
We had a couple families with little ones today at the park. I was impressed that they actually kept them off the playground. I would not have wanted to have that battle.
My roommate was talking about adopting a rescue pig yesterday, and seemed surprised that I was all for it, we have a yard, and all that, and there seems to be no relevant city ordinances. But I would be surprised if she carries through on it. Sigh.
I just told her she can watch all the Doc McStuffins she want.
We all need a little something to ease the pain. If it's talking toys and stuffed animals, so be it.
Pig~ma, Theo! That would be awesome.
Out of curiosity, suppose you ordered something from a vendor and they shipped it and gave you a tracking number. After a day or so, tracking shows no movement ("Shipping label has been created. The status will be updated when shipment begins to travel.")
If you contact the carrier asking for an update on the order, what would you expect them to say?
